1. Improves creativity

By learning STEM subjects, children are given the opportunity to experiment, solve problems, and create new ideas. It encourages them to think outside the box, analyse situations from different perspectives and come up with unique solutions to problems. Ultimately, this plays an important role in children’s future careers and life where acquiring such skills is key to succeeding.  We understand the value of creativity in a child’s learning process. Therefore, The Maker House is established to expose children to different tools and materials, inspiring them to create new innovations on their own.

STEM education can foster curiosity by encouraging children to ask questions. Children who are keen in STEM subjects tend to be naturally curious and eager to learn. They wish to know how things work, why they work, and whether improvements can be made. Developing curiosity, especially at a young age, is essential, promoting a passion for learning.   STEM education teaches children to use books, internet and other resources to gather information that can help them solve problems. In the age of digitalisation, where children should be able to access information quickly and effectively, possessing research skills is key.

In STEM subjects, children often work in teams, learning to collaborate, communicate, and share ideas with others to achieve the same goals. They also become aware and appreciate their peers’ strengths and weaknesses, leveraging those strengths to succeed in projects.   On top of social skills, STEM education develops leadership skills in children as well.
